Bronzed Beauty

Bronzer has always been a consistent part of my makeup routine. It can be used to create a sun-kissed look or add definition to the face by using it to contour. The options available now are a far cry from the days of orange shades that made you look "tangoed" and there is a range of formulas available too. Here are a few of my absolute favourites

  1. Benefit Hoola - This is a matte soft bronze powder which is great for creating a sun-kissed glow and for contouring. It is best to build this product gradually and really blend it in to ensure a natural look. This is a good shade for those with paler skin.
  2. The Bodyshop Honey Bronze - There are four shades in the Honey Bronze range, Light Matte, Fair Matte, Medium Matte and Dark Matte making this a great option for the fairest of skins. The powder is matte with no shimmer making it a great contour option as well as adding a subtle natural bronze effect.
  3. NARS Laguna - This is a medium-dark tan brown with a subtle shimmer that adds a glow to the skin. As you can see from the picture I have used this bronzer a lot and it is probably my favourite of the bunch. It is great for contouring and a little goes a long way so this is buildable and easy to blend giving a natural result.
  4. Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel- This is a cream bronzer but I would say it is more like a mousse. It looks really dark in the pan, however, this blends beautifully and is perfect for contouring or getting the sun-kissed look. Again this is buildable so can be used on fairer skins, however, it can look quite muddy if used too heavy handed. This is another firm favourite of mine.
What is your favourite bronzer?
