Get Ready With Me - A Wedding

I had a fabulous time at the weekend attending a friends Wedding and catching up with great friends. It was a rare treat for me and my husband to have a night away without the kids so we made the most of our time seeing friends and dancing the night away. The weather was still relatively mild so I wore a pale pink dress from Ted Baker which I got a couple of years ago and added a faux fur wrap from Zara to give the look a more Autumnal feel. The makeup look I went for was a soft pretty smokey eye in mauve/brown tones. Here is a breakdown of my makeup look:

Products used:

Benefit The Porefessional
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser in St Moritz
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Honey
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Armani Sheer Blush in 10
Loreal Super Liner Brow Artist in Blonde 02
Chanel Illusion D' Ombre in Illusoire
Laura Mercier Evolution of Colour for Eyes in Pink Rain (Limited Edition) try any sheer pink shadow
Benefit They're Real Mascara
MAC Eyeshadow in Twilight Falls (Limited Edition) try Mystery
YSL Shocking Eyeliner
MAC Hue lipstick

Get The Look:

  1. Apply Benefit The Porefessional Primer to moisturised skin
  2. Apply NARS Tinted Moisturiser with hands or a face brush. I love the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
  3. Using a brow pencil and fill in your brows lightly to keep them looking natural
  4. Using your ring finger apply the Chanel Illusion D' Ombre all over the eyelid to create an even base
  5. Using a fluffy brush apply a light wash of the pale pink shadow all over the lid. Apply a highlight colour to the corner of the eye
  6. Using a pencil brush apply some MAC Twilight Falls to the lower lashline and a small amount to the outer corner of the eye in a "v" shape
  7. Using a blending brush apply some Benefit Hoola bronzer as a transition shade in the crease
  8. Apply a fine line of YSL Shocking eyeliner to the upper lashline
  9. Curl eyelashes and apply 2 to 3 coats of Benefit They're Real Mascara
  10. Using an angled face brush apply Benefit Hoola to the contours of the face
  11. Apply Armani Blush to the apples of the cheeks
  12. Finish the look with MAC Hue lipstick
I used my Babyliss Pro 38 mm curling tong to give my hair a soft curl.
