Makeup Storage

As a makeup artist and beauty fanatic, I have loads of products that I need to keep organised. I have been using the acrylic drawers from Muji for a few years now and still love them, however, they just don't hold all the products that I own. I was looking at other ways to store my makeup at home and got some inspiration from a Youtube video by Lauren Curtis where she was talking through her makeup collection and that's when I first saw the Ikea Alex Drawer unit. The nine drawer unit is easy on the eye with clean lines, it's not too big and is great value for money at just £90. I also use drawer organisers to separate and compartmentalise my products.

Ikea Alex 9 drawer unit
Blushers, primers, highlighters and mascaras
Foundations, concealers, powders and bronzers
Eyeliners, lipliners, lipgloss and lip cream
Single eyeshadows and small eyeshadow pallets
The other drawers are filled with larger eyeshadow pallets, skincare and hair products. My lipsticks and single MAC eyeshadows are kept in my Muji acrylic drawers so that I can see the colours clearly.

My makeup artist kit is kept in a large suitcase with wheels for easy transportation. I keep my products organised in clear cosmetic bags from Marks and Spencer which are a real bargain at £6.50 for three. This allows me to keep things neat and tidy but also lets me see what products I have.

How do you store your makeup?
