September Favourites

Well September has flown by and I can't believe that my baby boy is nine months old today! I have discovered a couple of new skincare products this month that I love and some products with a different formula that I am really liking too. So here are my September favourites....

  1. Benefit They're Real Mascara - I'm a bit late to the party on this one but I have to say that this mascara really makes lashes look amazing! I have tried many mascaras to get the long fluttery look and have had good results but nothing like this. This mascara is buildable, so you can put on a few layers before it starts looking clumpy and it stays on all day with no panda eyes. I will absolutely be re-purchasing this baby.
  2. Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black - This was actually a freebie with a magazine, however, I have used one of the Eyeko liquid liners before and been impressed. I love the YSL Shocking eyeliner but find that it doesn't stay on for very long and if my eyes water it runs really easily. The Eyeko eyeliner isn't as easy to apply as the YSL in that the nib seems to dry out, however, it stays on for longer and doesn't smudge.
  3. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul - This lip colour goes on smoothly and dries with a matte finish. It isn't drying like most matte lip colours and the shade Istanbul is a pretty pinky mauve colour that really brightens the face.
  4. Hydraluron Moisture Booster - This is a serum which contains hyaluronic acid, an ingredient which holds 1,000 times its weight in water. I am applying this morning and evening before my normal moisturiser to give my skin a moisture kick before we head into the Winter months.
  5. Dr Hauschka Facial Toner - I bought this to add greater variation to the products I was using as part of my daily skincare regime. I bought this product based on it's promise to minimise the appearance of pores, balance the moisture and oil levels of the skin and leave skin looking radiant. I really like the fresh feeling I get from this when I spray it onto my face, neck and décolleté. The smell is lovely and refreshing. I can't really comment on the difference if any this product has made to my skin, although I will keep watch and write a review once I have used it more.
  6. YSL Baby Doll Kiss & Blush No 2 Rose Frivole - This is a satin finish lip and cheek stain in one. It is a medium, rosy pink with some cool undertones that can be applied as a sheer wash on the lips or is buildable for a more intense colour. The colour doesn't appear as dark as it does in the bottle, however, for those who aren't used to wearing much colour on their lips, this may still take some getting used to. It is a pretty pink for the cheeks but needs to be blended quickly before it dries and looks streaky. I personally prefer this as a lip colour based on the formula and texture.
  7. Loreal Lipliner in Rosewood 657 - This is a pretty rosy pink lipliner that is a close dupe for MAC Soar lipliner. My favourite way to wear this lipliner is to line my lips and then apply a lip balm like Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry and rub lips together and blend the lipliner for a natural rosy hue.
  8. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light - I absolutely love this! It does something to your complexion that is difficult to put into words, it just makes your skin look luminous in a very natural, I'm not wearing any makeup kind of way. The powder is very fine so doesn't make the face look powdery at all and is meant to mimic the effect of having soft lighting on your face. I will certainly be adding some of the other colours to my collection.
What are your September favourites?
