Winter Lip Care

As Winter is looming so are dry chapped lips. Here are a few of my favourite ways to keep them soft and well moisturised...

Nivea Essential Care - This is a cheap and cheerful way of keeping lips hydrated. I carry one of these in all my handbags.
Nivea Raspberry Lip Butter - I love this and find it works wonders. I also love the subtle pale pink look this gives to my lips. I will often run my foundation brush over my lips and then apply this on top to give me a pretty nude lip. It also smells lovely!
L'Occitane Ultra Rich Lip Balm -This contains shea butter which helps keep lips soft.
Creme de la Mer Lip Balm - I bought this in a moment of madness when I clearly thought it was ok to spend £42.00 on a lip balm, however, this does keep lips hydrated. If I am totally honest I would say that this is a good product but I don't see any huge difference in how moisturised my lips are versus the other products.

I also like making my own sugar lip scrub using coconut oil and granulated sugar to help buff away any dead skin. This is how I make it:

1 tsp organic coconut oil (in a solid state)
1 tsp granulated sugar
Mix together in a bowl to make a paste
Apply to lips with fingers and gently rub in a circular motion. Wipe away with a warm cloth or muslin.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
