My Haircare Essentials

Well I've finally managed to find some time to write a post after far too long! I started back at work in January after my maternity leave and things have been crazy busy since then. Oliver has pretty much been ill for the last six weeks since starting nursery - poor little man, and we have been a house full of the lurgy for the past couple of weeks. So what better way to make yourself feel better than to make your hair look great. Here are a few of my current must-haves to get my hair looking healthy and shiny...

Aveda Pure Abundance Shampoo - this volumising shampoo makes hair look fuller and thicker. It uses acacia gum to help add volume to the hair and feels really refreshing with its smell of peppermint. You only need a 10p piece amount to get a good lather and make hair squeaky clean so it lasts ages too.
Aveda Pure Abundance Conditioner - this conditioner works together with the shampoo to make hair full of volume. It doesn't leave hair feeling too soft which helps add volume when styling.
Moroccanoil - this treatment oil is fantastic for nourishing hair and taming frizz and flyaways. I apply a 5p piece to wet hair before styling and a small amount after styling to smooth ends and define waves.
Colab Dry Shampoo - I love this dry shampoo! It works wonders at making hair feel clean with absolutely no residue. I was a big fan of Batiste until this was launched recently by beauty blogger Ruth Crilly of amodelrecommends. It comes in lots of wonderful smelling fragrances too.
Oribe Dry Texturising Spray - this adds fantastic volume and texture to the hair and it smells amazing too. See my review post on it here.
Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray - my go to salt spray to define waves and add beachy texture to my hair.
Frizz Ease Heat Defense Spray - I spray this onto my hair before using my straighteners or curling wand.
Paul Mitchell Strength Super Strong Liquid Treatment - this treatment spray helps nourish hair and smooth split ends. I spray this onto wet hair after I have applied my moroccanoil.
Tangle Teezer - my go to hairbrush for combing hair with minimal damage.
Babyliss 34mm Curling Wand - my favourite curling wand to create beachy waves. Wrap 1 inch pieces of hair in alternate directions to get tousled waves. Add a small amount of moroccanoil to the ends for definition.
GHD IV straighteners - these transformed my life! I love them!
