April Favourites

Where is the time flying to! I can't believe we are in May already, but that does mean we are on our way to Summer with longer days and warmer weather - bliss! Well my favourites this month are made up of some exciting new purchases and re-visiting some old favourites that I haven't used in a while. So here goes...

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade - I have brows that choose to disobey and look nothing like each other. My right brow is semi-decent whilst my left brow is a total nuisance, with plenty of sparse patches. I love a brow that is defined but still looks natural, and with some time and practice, the dip brow is a great way of achieving this where it will last all day. Anastasia Beverly Hills is the queen of eyebrows and all her brow products have become cult classics because they are great! I use the dip brow pomade with an angled brush to create fine hair strokes to fill in any gaps and just make my brows look fuller and tidier. For reference I use the colour soft brown.
Urban Decay Naked Palette - the original naked palette and one I have used many times. This is a great all rounder for creating both subtle and dramatic smokey looks. My favourite shades at the moment are Sin (all over lid), Buck (in the crease) and occasionally Creep (to line my upper and lower lashes) to give a subtle smokey look.
MAC Powder Blush in Margin - I saw a picture of Lauren Conrad wearing this blush and she looked so beautiful and radiant that I had to add it to my collection. This is one of my favourite spring/summer blush colours as it gives a lovely bronze/coral glow to the skin. It is a frost blush, however, it isn't overly shimmery. The frost creates a luminosity to the skin which is perfect for a summer glow. Definitely one of my favourite blushers.
Zoeva Rose Golden Complete Eye Set vol 2 - a set of 12 beautiful rose gold and ivory eye makeup brushes that come in this pretty rose gold makeup bag. I have been reading about Zoeva brushes for a couple of years now and finally decided to take the plunge and add them to my collection. They are just so pretty I couldn't resist them! I have a great deal of eye brushes and am a huge believer that having the right tools enables you to create the look you want with ease. These are good quality brushes and I think they are excellent value for £57.00.

What have been your beauty must haves?

  1. Well I agree with you Georgie, time flies really fast! Thanks for sharing your favourites, as for me my beauty regimen includes organic serums and moisturisers because I believe that they're the best for my skin type. I love their rejuvenating effects -- can't imagine a day without them! :)
